Three successful architecture studios, B&M, AW2 and Konkret, have united their skills, experience and ideas, and continue as a multidisciplinary firm called ONE Architects. ONE Architects is one of Finland’s most comprehensive building design and urban planning experts.
Three renowned, complementing Finnish architecture studios AW2 Architects, B&M Architects and Konkret are as of today ONE Architects. Along with the launch of the new name and brand the studios’ architects start work in the new, shared office in Kamppi, central Helsinki.
“We are a multidisciplinary house of architects focused on creating sustainable architecture and urban environments for people to use and enjoy. Comprehensiveness and partnerships play an increasingly important role in circular economy, where the focus of construction changes to the reuse of areas, blocks and properties. The needs of people, cities and the natural environment are changing quickly, and with our large set of skills we can respond in an agile way,” says Jaakob Solla, executive vice president, ONE Architects.
ONE Architects, part of design and engineering consultancy AINS Group, is one of the top five architectural offices in Finland. The firm employ more than 100 architects and interior architects in Helsinki and Tallinn.
“One of Finland’s leading architectural firms deserves a strong and exiting brand to attract the best architects and interior architects also in the next generation to continue the ambitious work. We believe that having a strong brand and identity also creates value for our stakeholders,” says Solla.
ONE Architects' designers have extensive experience all areas of architecture from urban development, land use and housing to offices, commercial and public buildings and renovations. The firm is particularly well-known – also internationally – as a designer of urban housing, hybrid buildings and hospitals.
Award-winning projects include Meilahti Bridge Hospital in Helsinki, the urban planning and construction projects in the Rykmentinpuisto area in Tuusula and Ranta-Tampella in Tampere, Viuhka housing in Vuosaari in Helsinki, Shopping Center Ratina in Tampere, Kruunuvuorenranta waste transfer terminal in Helsinki and the Jätkäsaari terrace housing in Helsinki.

“An international perspective is a necessity, because the design of cities and buildings is universal, and you have to keep your eyes open all the time. Exporting Finnish design is a big opportunity for Finland. For us it means especially the design of hospital and buildings used in healthcare, an area in which we have the best expertise in the world,” says Jaakob Solla.
As part of the AINS Group, ONE Architects has the support of solid property development, construction management and special design to solve technical, ecological and financial details during projects.
