The block near Rastila metro station is bordered by Karavaanikuja, Karavaanikatu, and Vuoraitti. The block is enclosed, with the building mass rising as you move around it. It consists of two plots and housing companies, but the unified architecture blurs the boundaries. The facades are made of concrete elements; the exterior sides are mainly brick-tiled, while the courtyard sides are white concrete. The brick-tiled surfaces are enlivened by various laying patterns, and the balconies on the metro side feature red and gray aluminum grilles.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) was central throughout the project, and it received an honorable mention in the Tekla BIM Awards competition.
